As I’ve progressed with traditional shaving and my confidence has grown I’ve started to experience the odd nick with my former strokes. Initially I used shavelounge alum matches and applied directly to the nick which worked great. I decided that I’d upgrade to an alum stick so I could apply more quickly and to a larger area. What a difference! An area of inflammation on my neck which I have never really been able to eliminate has gone in three days!

Excellent for nicks. After shaving rinse off remaining shaving cream/gel then use alum over entire area. Rinse again after 1 minute. Works as a deodorant too. Wet armpit and apply liberally
